Susie, so funny about the pink prenatal vitamins! But I'm sorry to report that I took pink vitamins with both pregnancies and both boys!

Carrie, how funny! I did the same thing but basically tried for a boy! We decided not to find out the sex until the baby is born so we won't know until September. I have to say that of all the wives tales out there, this one does have some scientific credibility and I actually believe that it may work in some cases!

Ha ha ha, I can't believe I'm going to tell this story, but I will. A friend of ours who came from an all boy family said that his mom did the "boy dance" after conception. It involved lying down on your back, putting your feet in the air, and shaking your feet back and forth as fast as possible. It was a running joke between our families. As a joke we tried it with our first attempt, laughing the entire time thinking about how we were going to tell our friends about this. (The friend whose mother did this actually came over to our house a few hours later...)

We had a girl. It didn't work. (Not that we thought it would.)

We didn't do the boy dance the second time around. I think we were too tired. We had a boy.

I was told after I found out that I was having a girl that if you take pink prenatal vitamins that you will have a better chance of a girl. I didn't know that they came in different colors, but mine were pink and I did end up with a girl. So who knows!

I don't have anything funny that I can really contribute. But I did try to tip the scales in favor of a girl, knowing that its believed that Y sperm are faster, but X sperm live longer, and knowing when I ovulate.

I'll know in about 3 weeks if it worked or not!
