Should the FDA approve marijuana for medical use in the United States?

Yes, it should be approved. The FDA says that it does not have any medicinal value, but this decision was most likely made because of political rather than medicinal considerations. Patients undergoing chemo find medicinal marijuana helpful, and it is much more effective than the FDA approved Marinol. These drugs are often ineffective because extreme nausea makes it impossible for patients to take a pill.
