Rep. John Kline |
We’ll be recording a new Pig’s Eye Podcast this morning. We hope to have it posted by about 10 a.m. Once we get in front of the microphones, anything is possible, but here’s what we expect to be talking about.
A fugitive on the lam takes the time — bless his felonious little heart — to post a comment on Politically Connected about our podcast.
Gov. Tim Pawlenty’s enviable 59% job approval rating.
More stirrings in the Minnesota congressional races, including an intriguing Democrat stepping forward to run against John Kline.
The U.S. Senate race, where Al Franken edged out Sen. Norm Coleman in the third-quarter money race.
By the way, if you have a question for the Pig’s Eye Podcast crew — Doug Tice, Lori Sturdevant and me — or want us to address a certain topic, leave a post here, or send an e-mail to politicallyconnected@startribune.com.
Some state lawmakers collecting more in per diem than salary.
Howdy,
I’d like to hear your thoughts pertaining to this story today.
Thank you.
Well we have a new political service from the less than neutral Star Tribune…”McMemo”
Let’s see how i am at predicting the future from the Strib and this blog. Both will endorse the Democratic nominees for the Presidency and U. S. Senate race in Mn.
This is just one more way they want to appear unbias while pushing their Liberal agenda.
What a joke…I can’t believe anyone would seriously consider making their mind up on who to vote for on these races from the propaganda BS in the Editorial section of the Strib or this laughable biased blog.
Jim,
Are you trying to say the keeper of this blog won’t be unbiased?
The Strib wouldn’t allow it.

I read content from various newspapers on line as well as hard copy of the Star Tribune. I find the content of the Editorial pages on the Star Tribune to be pretty well done. The editorials in the Star and Tribune are not that much different than editorials in the other large newspapers.
If the facts that are laid out in the editorials are not something the far right agree with, I suspect it is because the far right doesn’t like to deal with uncomfortable subjects like criticism of State of Minnesota or the Governor’s policies when critcism is called for, calls to stop a very unpopular war in Iraq, or advocating taxes to pay for necessary things like education, health care, transportation and transit. I like the idea that the Star and Tribune Editorial pages and writers are usually trying to advocate policies that make Minnesota a better state with better Education, Health Care and Transportation.
Congratulations on starting the new Political site. I look forward to reading it.
