Fox News declares Clinton the winner

April 22nd, 2008 – 7:53 PM by Dennis J. McGrath

Fox News has projected that Hillary Rodham Clinton is the winner of the Pennsylvania Primary.

Returns are just starting to roll in, so Fox is basing this on exit polling. The exit polls likely project a fairly large win for Clinton, for Fox to call the race this quickly.

The projection is a Hillary victory by 8 points. That’s not a “fairly large win”.

Pundits were saying that if she didn’t win by double digits that pressure for her to quit the race would grow.

DFAL, you surely never held a bat or had a ball in your hand or you would know………a win….is a win.
Size doesn’t matter, remember, but I guess in your case, it does

“John McCain gets tax-free disability pension

The disclosure of the Navy benefit for injuries incurred as a Vietnam POW may raise fitness questions.

Sen. John McCain has long said he is in robust health and is strong enough to hike the Grand Canyon, but he also is receiving what his staff Monday termed a “disability pension” from the Navy.

When McCain released his tax return for 2007 on Friday, he separately disclosed that he received a pension of $58,358 that was not listed as income on his return.

On Monday, McCain’s staff identified the retirement benefit as a “disability pension” and said that McCain “was retired as disabled because of his limited body movements due to injuries as a POW.”

McCain campaign strategist Mark Salter said Monday night that McCain was technically disabled. “Tortured for his country — that is how he acquired his disability,” Salter said.

Certain types of military and veterans pensions are either partially or completely tax-exempt, depending on the seriousness of the disability. In McCain’s case, the exemption is 100% . . .”

Paul, define “win”. I would say it’s getting the nomination. So Clinton just kicked a field goal in the 4th quarter, being down 3 touchdowns. A win is a win, and Obama just got a lot closer to the prize.

Republicans must love this. To watch these two “Americans” prove just how much they are concerned with the country’s future and the future of their political party. It reminds me of a couple of elementary school children.

What’s happened to the DFL party?

Steve, there are so many ifs in this race, yet one thing is certain…IF the American people knew Obama was talking from the Illinois minor leagues of politics with his proclamation to be the only anti-war candidate running, if they knew the double Rs..Rezko where Obama first reported a $2500 donation later bumped to 1/2 a mil and the other R, Rev FullaHate and how Obama missed that sermon wanting us to believe there were not countless others in the same vein and the Weatherman connection downgraded to just a guy in the neighborhood ..all these and other ifs this guy wouldn’t even be in the running except maybe with college kids who have never voted before and always go for the Shiniest Bauble. No, he is very lucky the race didn’t start right now with all we know of this Supernova. I fear for this country when he got so frazzled and angry at that debate wondering what he will do when Iran gets up in his face. He’s just a rookie. Why can’t you Obama get all that heaven out of your minds and see that?
