Waiting For Word On Neshek

Heard a little while ago that Pat Neshek has had a MRI exam on his right elbow and that Twins doctors were meeting this afternoon to go over the results. We should know by game time what’s up with the sidearmer from Brooklyn Park.

If everything looked fine, would they have scheduled a meeting for this afternoon?

MRi’s are done by technicians. They send the results to the doctors who then go over them. It’s just standard procedure.

Should anybody be surprised that he broke down after seeing his velocity down almost 5 mph from last year. Something has obviously been wrong.

I blame his vegan diet.
That stuff isn’t good for your tendons, muscles or bones.

Kid isn’t getting iron or magnesium.
I saw this comming a million miles away after hearing her turned vegan.

As a certified carnivore (ok omnivore, but I think you take my point) all I’ve got to say is. Karlee, that’s totally ridiculous.

green leafy vegetables, potato skins, and soy and tofu based products are examples of vegan foods high in iron.

The last time Boof faced the Red Sox we won 5-4 he got the win and went 5 innings giving up 3 runs all earned Beckett got the loss.

Anyone notice that Twins are 7-1 in games started by Livan; 5-1 in games started by Baker? Those stats probably can’t hold up for the season, but I find odd statistics like those to be fascinating.

Twins are 2-5 in Blackburn starts (that’s just not right for this kid). 3-4 in Boof starts. 0-2 in Slowey starts. 0-3 Frankie’s starts.

(I know — this is a small sample).

I should have known this would have turned into a vegan thread. PS has anyone seen the numbers Like Hughes is puting up in May after a great April in AA. He must have really figured something out.

Actually, Punto has played in 20 games but has only 14 starts. The Twins are 9-5 when he starts.

amazes me how armchair athletes come out of woodwork to take cheap shots. If ya don’t have constructive critic then be quiet.

The reason the Twins are 12-2 in games started by Hernandez and Baker is that they both rank in the top 6 in MLB in run support. Considering that the team overall ranks 13th in the AL in runs, it’s pretty easy to see they aren’t scoring at all for the other starters.

The Twins are 9-5 when he [Punto] starts.

not that he had contributed in those wins… This is like saying that the Twins have a perfect record when Lamb starts at 1B, or that they are 2-1 when Monroe is that starting CF… Punto should be on the bench till the end of the year, unless another team wants to give up something for him.
