2009 NCAA hoops tickets: a vicious cycle

cycle.jpgA concerned reader who likes to book NCAA men’s hoops tickets well ahead of time wrote in to say she has not been able to purchase first and second round tickets for the Metrodome in 2009. Tickets allegedly went on sale March 24, but when you follow the suggested link for buying tickets, you are told that ticket information is “coming soon.” That seems like a fairly odd way of selling tickets. Usually, when you tell people something is on sale, there is a way to make a purchase. We’re curious if anyone else has experienced this problem — or if there’s some sort of secret code we (and the reader) have not been able to crack, and that others have actually been able to order tickets.

Oh, and by the way: nice to have the server back and running. Sheesh.

It’s about time you started pedaling that bike again. Don’t let it happen again.

I can’t stand this election since I’ve been spending too much time blogging elsewhere (I hate that Sen. Smooth, Obee WannaB), but I’m busting in here with the news (if you haven’t heard it) that…(from the Star)

“Former Viking Eller arrested after allegedly hitting cops
Former Minnesota Vikings great Carl Eller became so violent that two Minneapolis police officers who arrested him early this morning for suspicion of driving while intoxicated feared for their lives, said Inspector Mike Martin

I always feel for these retired guys, not so much for current players turned thugs, but guys like Eller who know their playing days are over and they only have one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel. In other words, nothing to look forward too. He was one of the good guys too. Just a bad drunk.
