Did you know that The Budget Fashionista is a Minneapolitan, by birth? Kathryn Finney now lives in New York but got her fashionable, yet frugal start possibly by drinking our water.
The big news that I learned over salad and cake (of course!) at the Good Earth was that Finney now has spun off her brand into five blogs: mens (seejackshop.com), kids (budgetbambino.com), home (thebudgetcasa.com) and, my favorite, green (thebudgetecoist.com).
She’ll be celebrating five years as a blogger this fall. Who even knew what a blog was five years ago? She’s a pioneer.
Anyway, to lunch, she carried a new purchase, this Kooba handbag that she bought on a trip to L.A. She’s okay with splurging on her handbags, since purses are her thing, which you’ll know if you read her book. Otherwise, it’s all about style for less.
