I wasn’t the only person hanging out at Russell Bourrienne’s bright-as-sunshine yellow studio on Sunday afternoon. Jillian Peterson and Kate Troutman, two U of M seniors/clothing design majors were assisting Russell with his show styling.
Jillian wore a cardigan from the Limited, a shirt from Banana Republic, pants and scarf from H&M and shoes by First. Kate wore a dress from Express and Forever 21 (”Forever till you wash it”) shirt with hand-me-down L.L. Bean boots and an H&M scarf. Who knew H&M was such a scarf destination?
Then as we were all leaving Russell’s place, Jillian and Kate put on their coats and the colors were so vibrant (especially on the yellow background) that I was compelled to snap another photo. See it after the jump.

I adore Kate’s coats.

H&M has the best scarves. The one I go to in NYC has an entire wall of just scarves, near the accessories. It’s glorious.
