This is the best advice I’ve ever heard for aspiring fashion designers. Watch, listen, and learn, kids.

Here’s a fun video with Tim Gunn from yesterday. We chatted with the style guru from “Project Runway” and “The Biggest Loser” before his presentation at Herberger’s. My favorite part? His phrase “carry on” is so clearly explained, I now understand it to be deeply profound.

Last night was the big Tim Gunn to-do at the Rosedale Herberger’s. So today’s inspiration is from Liz Claiborne, of which Gunn is chief creative officer.

These jackets are just what a wardrobe needs to transition into spring. Structured jackets are flattering, sensible for spring and, most importantly, seriously in style this year. The navy and white jacket ($159) and white jacket ($129) offer two versatile options. Gunn sang the praises of the white jacket’s shawl collar for its ability to broaden shoulders and balance out a broader bottom half.

This week, he was on “The Biggest Loser.” Next week, he’ll be at Rosedale. That’s right, the fashion wise guy from “Project Runway” and chief creative officer of Liz Claiborne will swing by Herberger’s next Wednesday (March 26 at 6 p.m.) to give on-the-spot advice and show you some instant makeovers.

Here’s a photo of Padma Lakshmi from the “Project Runway” finale. I’ve been holding onto it since mid-February to help us rejoice in the new season. I’m not really rooting for any of the chefs yet, but there aren’t any evil ones either…hopefully that will all change soon.

She’s sitting next to Lindsay Price and costume designer Dan Lawson. She’s gorgeous in person. My one note: Why the long lavender gloves indoores? It was actually really warm that day too. So warm you wouldn’t have to wear them outside either. An early Easter outfit? Whatevs. She can pull of anything.

I’m dealing with serious “Project Runway” withdrawal today. So here’s how I’m coping today–watching this video of Tim Gunn and Christian having a rooftop walk-off. Slightly disturbing is Tim Gunn’s coping wiStylePoints › Edit — WordPressth Heidi’s tickle attack. Ah, those crazy kids.
