Listings include single-family houses, condos, townhouses, duplexes and triplexes sold in the nine-county metro area since 1998 and Chisago and Isanti counties since 2007. Data is taken from Certificates of Real Estate Value that are filed with county assessors after properties are sold. It typically takes eight weeks after the closing date (and sometimes much longer) for a transaction to be listed. If a purchase price seems too low, it may be for land only, a parking space in a condo building or possibly a down payment when a mortgage assumption or contract for deed is involved. For more information on a particular transaction, review the certificate of value at the county assessors office. Addresses may be listed with the city of the local post office, not the home's actual municipality.
